Writing postcards

2 comments on Writing postcards

I’m writing postcards today (and tomorrow, and tomorrow) using a tested “make a plan to vote” message. The organization I signed up with provided a list of addresses, postcards, and instructions; I’m providing stamps and labor. Other people volunteer by knocking on doors or calling or what-have-you. This is what I’m doing.

Who is Linda, and why did they sending me passive-aggressive threats against my privacy via this exact post card?I don’t know anyone named Linda; shove your passive aggressive bullshit back up your ass, and stop sending threats via anonymous postcards like a damned coward.I vote every election and don’t require passive aggressive threats to remind me to do so. Fuck you for assuming I do, and tell whoever gave you my address on some list where they can shove it in four years.

I am not Linda. If you received the exact same postcard then Linda probably got your name and address from Postcards to Swing States at https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/

They provided the postcards, mailing list, messages they’ve tested, and a mailing date. I wrote the postcards and provided postage. I do not recall threats in the recommended messages. One message did reference voting records being public, so if you consider that to be “threatening” I suggest you contact your representatives about that. You can ask turnout about removing your address, or check if your elections office has options to shield addresses.

      Thanks!
