I called both my US Senators to urge them to support censoring Senator Vance for trying to incite violence on his own constituents in Springfield, Ohio.
If you are also able, please consider calling your senators. I called local in-state offices and got people, not just voicemail. (If you like voicemail call on the weekend!)
A brief reminder of why Vance is a disgrace:
It does not matter, to Vance, that these Haitian newcomers came here legally, under the Temporary Protected Status program. It does not matter that they filled a valuable need. It does not matter that they reversed a slow collapse that has already sapped the life from so many former industrial towns. It does not matter that they work hard and seem eager, by all accounts, to establish themselves as productive members of the community.
The Republican Senator Vance of Ohio is inciting violence against Ohioans. That should be disqualifying.
