A couple updates to the right sidebar I thought were worth noting:
New Links section: Healthcare Resources for Fat Folks. This includes links to:
- The Fat-Friendly Professionals list, maintained by Stef. This list compiles referrals from fat people all over – please use it and submit recommendations as appropriate. There are also tips on how to approach healthcare providers.
- Prepared Patient: Larger Patients: In Search of … Better Healthcare an article on healthcare providers and fat patients, which may be worth printing out to give to a doctor.
- First, Do No Harm – Focused on fat issues in healthcare.
Secondly, I’ve added the new FatChat compilation feed of fat acceptance blogs. Because Lindsey (creator of the BABble FA Feed) is giving the FatChat feed her list of blogs to include, I’ve dropped the BABble feed down the page, and will probably remove it later. This isn’t because I dislike or have a problem with the BABble feed, it’s because Lindsey has discontinued BABble, which makes maintaining her feed a bit more of a pain, and FatChat is going to have all the blogs that were on the BABble feed anyway.
