Fun Stuff

Somebody knitted a Dalek.  Not only that, but the Dalek faced off with several worthy combatants.

New way to violate probation: break into the prison you were just released from.

Got Medieval discusses the “supersizing of the Last Supper” silliness.

    That Dalek is adorable!

I don’t know about anyone else, but a combination of knitted Daleks and a brilliant takedown of the brothers Wansink’s latest dribble of a ‘study’ is making me grin from ear to ear.

Also, Mr. Twistie FINALLY got the DVD player hooked back up again after a mere three months (I’d have done it myself but he had the cables hidden somewhere even he couldn’t remember) so I am finally able to watch my vast media collection again. I started out with season 2 of Slings&Arrows.

There are few things in life more enthralling than watching Paul Gross get deeply passionate about Shakespeare. Yum. And then there’s so much hilarious stuff happening that it gets hard to breathe after a while.

On top of all that, there are characters of every size and body shape, but absolutely zero body shaming! If you haven’t seen it, check it out. It’s beyond brilliant.

And DARREN. “I may go to Berlin, they understand me there.” BWAH.

Darren is so horrible he just rocks my socks.

I can’t knit for beans, but I’d love a Dalek Purl!

The Last Supper study is just plain stupid. I read about it a week ago and realized just how obsessed with fat and food we really are if we have to start trying to prove that supersizing and the so-called obesity epidemic started back in Biblical times. It just goes to show you most fat reporting is a bunch of bunk.
