Living ~400lbs

… and believe me I am still alive

Thankful Thursday

1) Friends and family who listen to me whine about work and general stress.

2) We are at the peak of sunlight here … so it won’t be getting worse, and I will be (hopefully) getting better sleep in a few weeks.

3) Continuing fun with weightlifting.

4) Getting faster at walking.

5) I’m sitting by an open window and there’s a nice, soft rain starting outside.  It smells wonderful. :)

  1. In a general way, I want to say I’m thankful for your Thankful Thursdays post. I’m working on maintaining a more positive outlook and even your post title is a gentle but firm reminder- and your content often makes me think “yeah, me too”.

    1. Glad you like it. Some weeks it’s harder to find the stuff to be thankful more — more like “I want to whine about work, I’ve already done that, I guess I should be thankful people put up with it, I’m sick of it not getting dark until 10, I guess I should be thankful it gets dark at all,” etc. :)

  2. I’m with Cleric at Large. Thankful Thursday is a lovely exercise.

Right now, I’m thankful that I’ll be getting together with a buddy for lunch today. We haven’t seen each other in a few weeks due to one thing and another and it will be great to catch up.

I’m thankful for my cat, aka: the evil ball of orange fur who loves me.

I’m thankful for the good coffee I’m drinking right now, because it’s delicious.

Oh, and I’m thankful that the weather has finally decided to stop mimicking February and actually become June-like. That’s feeling mighty good about now.
