Music Monday: Mal’s Song, Vera, and Browncoats

This weekend was the annual charity fundraiser Can’t Stop The Serenity, which raises money for Equality Now.   The event comes out of and embraces Firefly fandom, but it’s also just plain fun.

The Seattle screening also included a short concert of Firefly-themed music from Marian Call and Vixy & Tony, closing with Mal’s Song, which is a medley of the Firefly theme song and verses written by Vixy. This song is on Vixy & Tony’s album Thirteen.

Marian Call also sang her song Vera Flew The Coop, which tries to answer the question of why Jayne Cobb would name his gun Vera. It’s on her album

    Yay, another Browncoat fan!

Firefly is one of my all-time favorite series.
