Has anyone tried Junonia’s QuikJersey items? Currently they’re $25 off through Sunday night (US Central Time) when offer code KMH6L is entered. The items include a tank, leggings, shorts, and a track jacket.

For those who don’t know, Junonia is an American company which specializes in workout and sports clothing for sizes 1x – 6x, including such hard-to-find items as zip-off convertible hiking pants, ski pants & jackets, tennis skirts, padded bike shorts, and swimsuits that are meant for serious swimming. They also offer general gym and casual clothing.

I just wanted to leave you a comment, I honestly don’t know about Junonia, but I have something to say…
Your blog is absolutely amazing. I too am a woman approximately your size and I haven’t let it affect me in my life at all. I still do what I would normally do if I were “thin.” It’s taken me several years to accept myself for who I am. I found every time I would “diet” I would then gain more weight. I haven’t been on a diet in 3 years and I have maintained the same weight. I found your blog through google. I typed in “disney and weight issues.” My family is traveling to disney in October of 2012, and as I do have time to lose weight, I was just curious if I could still do things if I didn’t. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your inspiration to keep living my life the way I choose and not the way “society” tells me I should.

  Thanks. I too decided to accept myself fat because my diet attempts always resulted in long-term weight gain….and I don’t want to be fatter.

I was hoping someone could weigh in on the QuikJersey, too! I am a big fan of Junonia’s stuff. Made in the states, and by the prices, I assume, folks who are actually making a living.

Their swim gear lasts a really, really long time. And has support for ‘the girls’ like no other. I swim 4-5 days a week and have some of their stuff that has lasted 3+ years so far. I’m only a 3x, but can often wear as small as a 1X depending on style with them. The fit is usually quite generous.

I know I will cry when my triathalon swim shimmel and shorts wear out. I’ll never find another since they stopped making them.
